Support Services

Because cancer affects many aspects of your life, SVCCC offers a variety of support services to help you and your loved ones through this time of uncertainty:

Social Work
SVCCC's licensed social workers assist patients, family members and significant others with the emotional, psychological and practical needs related to cancer diagnosis and treatment. Look to these compassionate staff members for individual and family counseling, referrals to support groups, and assistance with lodging/hotels, transportation, home care support and other community resources.

Staff Participation Only: The Cancer Center also holds Schwartz Center Rounds www.theschwartzcenter.org

Support Groups
SVCCC sponsors a number of support group meetings for people with cancer and their families. Some are disease specific - such as the prostate cancer support group - and some offer complementary group therapies such as yoga and Qi Gong.
