Rosemonde Zoe Woel, MD, is a radiation oncologist with St. Vincent's Comprehensive Cancer Center's state-of-the-art Radiation Oncology Department. Dr. Woel is part of an interdisciplinary team of physicians, surgeons, oncologists and psychiatrists that develops individual treatment regimens for patients. She has a particular interest in familial cancer syndromes, breast, lung, gastrointestinal cancer and lymphoma.
Dr. Woel completed her residency in radiation oncology at the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy, a joint venture between Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston, MA. She completed her internship at St. Mary's Medical Center in San Francisco, CA. Dr. Woel received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, and completed the Program in Clinical Effectiveness at the Harvard School of Public Health. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Dr. Woel is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American College of Radiation Oncology, Massachusetts Medical Society, Physicians for Human Rights, Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology and Radiological Society of North America.
Dr. Woel presented at the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) medical meeting in 2004. She was awarded the Dean's Merit Scholarship, Commonwealth Award, Foundations in Clinical Medicine Teaching Award and National Health Service Corps Fellow.
Dr. Woel is a resident of New York City.
