| Biography: |
Richard B. Libes, PhD, MD, is a member of the team of radiology specialists in the Diagnostic Imaging Department at St. Vincent's Comprehensive Cancer Center in New York City. A board certified, fellowship-trained radiologist, Dr. Libes has been at St. Vincent's Comprehensive Cancer Center since 2005.
Dr. Libes graduated from New York University School of Medicine, completed his internship in the Department of Pathology at North Shore University Hospital and his radiology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in magnetic resonance imaging at New York University School of Medicine and held a faculty appointment at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Libes received a PhD in Chemistry from New York University and his undergraduate degree with honors from Cornell University, School of Arts and Science.
Dr. Libes is the author of numerous articles published in journals, such as Radiology and The Journal of Medicinal Chemistry. He has received a number of awards, including the Jerome S. Coles Award for Excellence in Teaching and a National Institute of Mental Health Research Fellowship. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society and the New York Roentgen Society.
